Movers coming tomorrow and I guess we will see if she is in one piece still. Better yet that she shows up at all. I have a feeling I’ll have to replace the front shock seals and fluid. Due to the fact it’s been in a box ratchet strapped down for over 2 months.

“I’m back in my babies arms. Oh how I miss those loving arms. I’m back where I belong, back in my babies arms.” (Patsy Cline; I think) Anyways she made it to the great state of Alabama with minimal harm. Itching to hook up the battery and poor some fresh petrol in the tank.

Finally got enough courage to tackle the task of changing the fork oil. I was a little intimidated since they seem to call for an Ohlins specialist to do it. It actually was surprisingly easy for my first ever upside down fork oil change. While I had the tire off I got the shorter 999 fender installed. I failed at getting the stripe on the front fender but the seat cover went on easy. Think I actually like the fender without the stripe. Next step is to wet sand and polish up the paint.

My voltage was reading a little over 14v after about 30 minutes of riding; reaching 15v at times. So I decided to get a Rick’s rectifier (mosfet) to conserve the life of my lithium battery. I suppose they give you enough cable to relocate the rectifier if you wanted too.
*Update after riding to work today the results of the new rectifier are; constant voltage between 13-13.5V while riding with less drawl on battery during starts. Not dropping below 11v during initial crank. Prior I was running between 13.5v to 15v under operation and battery would drop to around 10.4 during crank.
