After contemplating several 2011/12 used M796 - I decided to buy a 2013 for a bit more. I am 53, and been on Harleys past 15 years. Last sporty I had was a CBR600 (CCS Road Racing). I decided on the M796 due to all the positive things I read about it on this forum and elsewhere.
So nimble and responsive. Wanted something to have fun with without power I'd never use on public roads. Perfect bike. The vibrations at low speed RPMs were not bad as I read about. I imagine a sprocket change would help but I like the highway top-end. I plan to keep it stock with the exception of pipes (I read lots so I'm set there) and maybe a larger screen if there are any suggestions on a larger screen.
I am so happy with my purchase. I feel 25 again when I'm on it. I added a photo.
