My hair comes down to my chin & I don't wear product. I found when I got to my destination I kept going to the restroom to put a little water on my hair & fluff it up a bit. Works great for me. If I'm not sure if I even want to approach the restroom or there isn't one, I'll bring one of those tiny travel hairspray bottles & fill it with water. Or you can do half & half.

I have short spiky hair and I reconstitute it with water after every ride. I DID shave my hair all off last year. My helmet felt to big after then. Good thing my hair grows fast. Within 3 month it was back to normal.

I used to wear a bandana and put my hair in a chignon at my nape, but then I found the answer! I wear one of the Under Armour hoods (even the lightweight one helps with wicking sweat in the summer) and let my hair go directly from that into my jacket. I used to have a 32 mile super slab commute and it would stay under there every time. No ponytail kinks and no nappy hair.

I have straight fine hair that used to go to mid back. Now it's just below my shoulders.

This is an older thread which seems to have been answered, but thought I would post up anyway.
I have incredibly straight incredibly fine (but lots of it) hair. And I never cut it, so its about mid-back now. I always always always wear it in a ponytail, no product.
When riding I wear one of those Harley-esque hair gloves/tubes. I did buy it at a Harley shop. Its great. Its about 5 inches long, secures by a hook to my hair tie, and then snaps around my hair. Some hair still sticks out the bottom, but it doesnt knot up like it would without it. Once I get to my destination, I just redo my ponytail and I am good to go.

After reading all this, I guess I'm sunk. I have short, choppy hair (millions of layers) that I absolutely HAVE to have product in, otherwise it resembles a fuzzy mullet. If I have product in it, it looks cute/punky/sassy. Last time I was on a bike I had long hair and didn't have too much of a problem. Looks like it's the mullet for me when I get my monster.

Well to circle back to my original question, my lovely wife with the curly red hair has discovered http://www.naturallycurly.com/ and her hair now looks great and she no longer tags herself on the forehead with the 12 gazillion watt hair iron. Plus she gets to sleep in an extra half hour - which makes us both happy.
