No first hand experience, but people here have used them and I haven't heard any complaints.

My MSF Course Instructor wore those construction worker type vests while riding at night, because his clothing was primarily black.

I don't have one, but each time I'm in my car and I see a motorcyclist wear visible, reflective gear I want to pull over and thank him. Some of the stealth black on black guys are impossible to see at night.

Meh, no kidding. I'm one of those stealth guys and almost got hit twice w/in 15 minutes from cars changing lanes right next to me. Both young guys blasting their music and not actually looking when they change lanes. My bike ain't exactly quiet and I was right next to their window...

It will fit in a pocket or tank bag for those rare times I'm riding at night. Almost all my gear is all black. I have a red Cordura jacket with some reflective piping, but I rarely wear it, favoring one of my black leather jackets instead.

 

The Icon Mill spec vest has the most features and can be adjusted for a tight fit.

I use one sometimes, especially winter\nighttime, bought it in the UK.
One thing to look out for is how it closes (buttons \velcro).
Not all are suitable for bike use - Some of them have just a tiny bit of velcro and will open
with enough wind pressure and start flapping around like crazy.

 

picked up an el cheapo vest from sports authority for runners or something... I throw it over my backpack, so I don't have to actually wear the thing

but hey, safety first. darth vader may look cool. but y'know what? getting home in one piece is cooler.

 

One of my friend has a jacket with a reflective piping to it. You can't tell in daylight but at night time when hit by headlights the piping in the seems lights up very well.

 

This looks very interesting. Battery powered, and it lights up.
