Hold on - I mean "duc" as in "daisy duc" or is that "duke"

Another theory is that Duc is short for Duce, as in il Duce. As us Italians like to forget, the Ducati family played a role in aiding he who shall not be named in his fruitless quest for higher power. Thankfully, he was squashed, but his nickname continues to stain that which we hold as our symbol of freedom and independence; the Ducati.

No matter how long I spend on this side of the Atlantic, my duc will always rhyme with nuke.

I used to know a guy named Duck but I don't know if he knows what a Duc is.

I wonder if he'd be faster on a Duc than the Duke on a Duke. Or even Goose Gossage on a Guzzi.
