Moster ignition system, Captive discharge or not?

Can someone tell me or point me in the right direction on this one. Does an '02 monster run on a captive discharge ignition system or no?

I'm looking into modding the ignition and cant find the answer to this one anywhere so far.

I'm pretty sure no Ducatis are capacitive discharge. Your 620 works as follows: ignition pickup on left of engine tells the 5.9m ecu what the engine is doing. Then the 5.9m ecu tells the coils to fire at precisely the right time. Then the coils "fire" and the plugs will spark.
