35 kW was available with the Monster 600 Series, 70kW available in the 700-790 Series, 82 kW 800 Series...see sort of a pattern there? The 937 is an 80+ kW Series beginning 2021. There are significant mechanical differences between these motorcycles.

Are the difference only in the map program or also some mechanical differences?

If you are referring to the three riding modes of a Monster 937 (urban, touring, sport) then the only difference (to my knowledge) is the changed engine mapping (which you can choose).

There are versions on the internet with 35 kw, 70kw and 82 kw.
I wonder if the 35 kw/70 kw versions can be reprogrammed to 82 kw, without mechanical changes.

Here in Australia we have a 'restricted license', with similar reduced power bikes for learner riders.
On the Ducati versions, (and most others) this was achieved by restricting the throttle plate, or, not allowing full throttle.
Very easily removed, (once full license obtained) in most cases.
Not sure if same on 937.
70kW is about the power when 'urban mode' is selected.

 

urban mode is 75HP, so in kW it should be something like 55-56

 

If you buy a 35 kw in germany it can be tuned to 70kw not the full power

 

i remember similar thing with yamahas FZ more than 10 years back.
35kW restricted bike after unlocking got 60ish kW which was not full power. to get to the full power user needed to remove throttle stop pin themselves
