M900 to 620 tank swap?

Hi, I had my 1998 m900 only 2 weeks before parking it in front of a friends garage door not realizing it was an old style swing out one... Needless to say there is a rather large dent on the tank, everything else is ok except for the dent on my friends van as well... I've tried everything to remove it besides a welder and a slide hammer but now the seam by the hinge has started leaking a little gas.

I have managed to find a great tank from a monster 620ie. Will the tank just swap over or are they shaped differently because of the efi/carb difference? I'm kind of desperate so any help will be much appreciated.

Duc, you answered SPAM. If you see a bizarre question, or one you've answered in detail already and then see that their post count is under 10, as well as their signature line repeating offers for a product or service that has links to other sites, then you've read SPAM. Just a heads up. I removed it from your thread.

So I have 2 other questions that I can't find the answer for. One is will the tank latch from a post 2000 monster tank work on. 98 m900? I assume they are universal. And also, does anybody know if the exhaust off of a 98 m750 fit the m900? I assume the header sizes are different but since these bikes are somewhat parts bins, did they keep with the same exhaust to save cash?

Damn near everything is the same. Carbs are the same, just different jetting. Cans are the same, or at least fit the same.

A couple of years ago I picked up a neglected 750 to give away as a raffle prize to a local charity rally, that's what brought me to this site. I ordered a ton of parts not caring what bike they went to and for the most part they all worked. I was able to get a set of M900 carbs brand new and just changed the jetting. Same for exhaust.
