Nifty backpack that uses this unique attachment system to avoid flapping straps and keep the pack tight against the body.

Basically you pull the circles backward to tighten, forward to loosen. I find it easier to do with the pack off. Once it is set you shouldn't have to fool with it unless you change jackets.

 

And now you truly are "Enlightened."

I'm an idiot. It is the reverse of what I said - pull the rings down and forward to tighten, up and back to loosen.

On that Kriega, once you have the pack on, grab the black nylon pull strings that are attached to the aluminm rings. Pull them away from the rings (to kinda seperate the aluminum center tube from the rings). Now pull them in the direction to either tighten or loosen the bag.
