Front Axle is same part number
Upper triple is the same part no
Lower Triple is different part number

I would guess it's got different size clamps for larger/smaller fork diameter.

Anyway just fitted a pair of 1100S forks to my 1100 Evo.

Yokes/trees are the same size and forks fit fine.

You need to change your brake rotors to 15mm offset discs
(M1100evo are 10mm offset) or fit 5mm spacers behind each disc !

I bought some used 1198 discs off a mate that bought HPK Brembo set.

I then had to fit 5 mm caliper spacers as 1098-1198 are 330 mm rotors.

It was said on these forums that the only difference between the 1100 disc rotors and the 1100S was the S had an alloy carrier.

well that's wrong as the S uses a 15mm offset disc too.

Thanks for the info. I assume that the forks I was looking at sold long ago but it is nice to have this option.
