I just threw a yoyodyne slave on the monster. Way better design than the leaky stock unit. Anyway, I made sure to get some brake fluid on it so the finish is splotchy now. I'll probably go and try to remove all the anodization and just buff it up a bit. Any tips on how to go about this?

Actually, put WD40 on it or oil or something else. Brake fluid doesn't seem to permanently mar them, just kinda leave effect on it for a little while.

Like Chris said brake fluid won't leave a permanent mark on an hard anodized surface. Clean it off with brake cleaner and wipe some WD-40 on it for bit of protection.

Thanks guys, but too late. I wrecked the finish trying to get the brake fluid off so I had to keep going. The yoyo is now silver. Looks better this way anyway. A real pain to do. I would not recommend it.
