Anyone interested in riding to the "Cruddy Run" bike event in Wiscosin Sunday? Does anyone have any details on the event?

CRUD RUN, starts in leland wi, i think, if the weather s good i think i will be heading up with some freinds, usually about 500 miles up and back, always windy, alway cold, but if its a good day, you can see bikes that you have never seen before, the ride was started by Peter Egan(writer) and the slimy crud gang, and is ment to be one of the first and last rides of the season, good time, good way to blow out th cob webs, and see how your bikes running, lots of stuff on the web, and just an FYI, its near Madison Wi

Didn't realize it was 500 miles. Too much for me too.

I'd probably do it on my BMW but 500 miles is a long time on a Sunday. I, unfortunately, have got a few other non-bike related things I need to get done that day also. 500 miles is about 8 hours of driving not to mention the down time of filling up with gas, eating and viewing other bikes. We're talking at least 10 total hours.

Besides, has anyone checked Weather.com today? It's supposed to be in the 40s and raining from Friday to Monday nonstop.

Can't make it fellas.

What's up with the fookin' weekend weather lately anyway?

I'll be there - It's only two hours from where I am. grndskpr was right. I think there's just about one of every bike there. A few years ago I saw a guy with a Honda Police bike from the early 70's.....the siren still worked!

let me know if any of you guys from Chi-town want to meet up somewhere.

Not crazy, just a nice day out on the bikes, problem is looks like rain, and while i dont mind some of the way to be wet, it looks like its going to rain all day, and into the next up near madison
The 500 mile thing is up and back, plus messing around in the area and following the route they give you, lots of fun, but it is a long day, lots of time i start around 6am and dont get home until 8pm or so
last year, it was so windy, i HAD to get off the highway and take 14 all the way home from Madison, that same year a bad cross wind caught a freind on the way home, and tossed him and his wife from the bike, just something to think about, especially this time of the year

I fear strong winds, esp. on a monster. Felt it a little bit last night going east-west and vice versa.
