We all know the benefit that a lithium batteries will keep a charge for months if not longer.
That of course is in the absence of parasitic draw.
Charging (tendering) your LI battery in freezing temperature is not recommended.
Do you dread dropping and disconnecting the battery which on a Monster is a chore?
Good news! You don't have to.
Remove the plastic cover that's over the battery (two 4mm hex bolts) and disconnect the master plug.
That's it. No more parasitic draw.

Then perform your normal winterizing / storage to-do list.

For those on the previous gen Monster 696/796/1100 it's a real pain to disconnect the battery (located under the tank) before winter. The easiest alternative is to simply disconnect the dash. No more immobilizer draining the battery.

Your batteries can be kept warm by a tiny heating vent. This may be necessary to support batteries and their performance during the chilly winter months in the case of an RV, a boat, or even a house. Heating an insulated box won't require much energy.
