LOOKING FOR SOME RIDING GEAR FOR EXTREME COLD WEATHER. I LIKE THIS JACKET, BUT THE BELT LOOKS LIKE IT COULD SCRATCH THE TANK.

Anybody ever wear something like this for riding?
The Cockpit RAF Sheepskin Jacket
This jacket follows the 1938 Irvin Airchute Co. pattern and was worn by the pilots of the RAF during the Battle of Britain. Constructed from hand-cut American sheepskin pelts and features zippered cuffs, leather welted seams, inside canvas pocket, adjustable leather collar strap, leather waist belt, and full front zipper over wind flap. Also includes side-entry handwarmer pockets (a modern convenience not found on the originals). A very warm and stylish jacket. Color: brown. Made in the USA.

Yeah sure, I wear that everytime Yale plays Harvard.

;D
Now that's funny :)

Buy a snowmobile jacket. I have a Reima made of Cordura. Wearing it 10 below for 12 hours, I was fine with just a turtleneck underneath.
Been wearing it on the bike and it's perfect.
Not as much crash protection as leather, but I love it for cold weather.

I ride w/ a long sleeve T-shirt, a turtle neck sweater and my trusty Heine Gericke jacket (been through 3 crashes)
Joe rocket winter gloves (not especially warm)

Bottom consist of some windproof gym pants below re-enforced carpenter pants (2nd pair).

thick socks in sidi B-2 boots.

Foggy mask and windproof neck protector.
