I wondered if anyone had some ideas on replacing the windshield ... I want to keep the fairing, but replace the windshield with something opaque. I figured someone had to make a carbon fiber replacement, but can't find any (I have a Senna S4 with tons of C-F already on it so that was my original thought). Now I'm considering just having it painted black (or red to match the wheels). Any ideas out there? I saw a total fairing replacement from Spareshack called the Alien, but that's way too much $$ for me.

I'd email www.feathercarbon.com and see if they can make you one. A CF windscreen for an SBK goes for $100.

Thank you for the lead, I was just looking at it this morning and thinking I might be able to "lay up" a replacement windscreen myself ... I've never done C-F work, but I imagine it to be something like fiberglass - you know lay the fabric, impregnate it with resin, cure, trim ... in other words, worth every penny of $100 to avoid the hassle and stench !!
