I wont be riding sat. my friend is coming down from orange county but he can only do Sun. I have to rebuild the carb on my chevy anyway. Any chance you could get the better half to give ya Sun. off? I believe Rideon is coming with us on Sun.
Well Patrick (Ppoitras) and I got a quickie run up the tight side and a little breakfast at Mothers. It was abit on the clod side up there. Went to start down the fast side, got about 3 or 4 corners past the firestation and saw the wall of clouds raging up the backside. So we turned around and went back down the tightside. About 1/3 the way down we were greeted by a young chap who had just lobbed his Alstaire edition GSXR. Seems the young lad got on the gas abit hard and abit early. OOPS! Stopped to make sure he was alright then chased down the rest of his group so they could get him a truck and a ride home. Hes gonna be walking with a limp for a few days. Guess he banged up the shoulder and his ankle pretty good, but to quote an unnamed Honda crew member from an AMA race I attended at BIR, after watching a local guy take out a couple of the Factory guys in turn 10. "That boy just got in too hot and ran out of talent" Too bad he'd only had the bike for 5 months.
It was interesting Ryan, remember this is only the 2nd time for me back on Palomar since....well the early 90s, but I did push the ole dog abit more than I usually do. Boy that felt GOOD!!!!! I forget what a capable bike the 851 is and just try to justify that its just an old bike
spooky sh*t man. I talked to this guy at Mother's and he's wearing a shiny new jacket, jeans and sneakers. He could barely talk because he was so cold. Five months old on a brand new bike. This is after a trek up the 15 from El Cajon in gnarley weather. Not to knock the guy but, Damn! Ducman sped down and took twenty minutes finding his friends. Is it just me or are Monstro a little more aware of each other? The guy was ok but he is going to give Palomar a bad name. I must have waved by four cars and ten bikes while we were there. Maybe I'm naive but don't you think people should think ahead and ride within their abilities?
