Why does my wife get so mad when I clean my bug spattered helmet in the kitchen sink? Where am I supposed to do it, in the bath tub?

I clean mine in the sink, on the kitchen table , in the living room, any where at all.... our house is a motorcycle house, grease on the carpet, grease fingerprints on the doors, dog prints everywhere.... every once in a while I take time to clean it a little, but what fun is that!! If we didn't have a garage the bikes would be in the house!

they really bug out when they catch you cleaning vintage bike parts in the dishwasher

Hey, the dishwasher, thats a good place, less work for you!!!But then you'd have to run a cycle with simple green to remove the grease!!!
I've heard people freak when the dog dish is cleaned in the dishwasher!!

I always thought that when you had dogs, you didn't need a dishwasher. Just put the plates on the floor. I wonder if my fathers dog could clean my helmet?

I keep it in the barn, clean it in the barn. I have a sink there, but who needs one?

Thanks to Tim G..... I spray a bunch of Honda pro cleaner/polish on it. Wipe vigorously with a cotton t-shirt (an old one you wiseasses!). Voila! Ready to slay more insects.
