Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

I there, will be around all weekend. Maybe we should start later to get a bigger turn out, well....to be honest, so I can get more sleep ;D! I will be there either way though, you know I am always down to ride. Just have to get my immobilizer problem fixed. It is killing me that Hattar is not open today.
Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

Yo!
Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

I'll be around. In fact, the Aussies will have my extra bikes :-\

And a Saturday ride sounds fun. Better get some miles in before I drown my sorrows about turning a year older in copious amounts of beer.
Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

I should be around, unless I head down south to ride offroad with DTM.
Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

I'll be here, but I'll be packing and/or moving that weekend. :'(

Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

I'm going to be getting dirty in the mud with my new toy.
Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

So far, we have the following for a street ride on Saturday:

Marbles695
Grio
desmoquattro
Aussie friends
GT (street or dirt?)
Ducky

Plan to start at 10am. Don't know where to meet - I like to see how our visitors feel (jetlag and if they have all day etc).

Grio, any preference? You'd have to travel the farthest to meet up.

Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

I'm in town & I'm game. But when & where? :-\
Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

Friday is the day in the dirt, so I'm up to a street ride on Saturday. [thumbsup]

Depends...I'd be happy to lead a Barryessa ride if that's where you want to ride. I could meet you half way at Parchesi's Store (trail head to the corners)
If you want to do a different route, just post up. Haven't been to Mines in a while. Maybe Jimbo willl be out of town and we can have the road to ourselves.

Mines would be awesome. The Aussies would be impressed :)
Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

Barryessa, Mines -- which one requires less freeway riding to get to from SF?

desmoquattro, do you know if our Aussie friends are staying in SF? I know they'll probably camp out at the 'geist the first day ;D
Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

The Aussies are staying in Redwood City.

As for Mines, it's probably the same amount of freeway riding as Berryessa. You start in Livermore and (potentially) end up in San Jose.
Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

Mines is like ~45 mins from SF.. and you have to cross the Bay Bridge...

There are different routes you can take on Mines too.. which will either take you to San Jose as Joe said or out to Patterson for some highway 5 super slab or a little bit of Highway 5 then back into livermore.

Mines can also start off with and finish with a Redwood ride...(a.k.a. one of the best darn roads around)
Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

I've never been to Mines or Barryessa so have no preference. Just thinking about our visitors -- I assume since one/both of them is riding Joe's bike, they'd drive up to SF and ride from there?

TCK, are you in town and free to ride, don't you have track day this weekend or early next week?
Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

I was supposed to go to the track sunday.. but I flaked.. my knee has been killing me lately and I've been barely able to do street riding let alone track... :(

I'm not sure what my status for a Sat. ride is, but if you guys put a time and place, if it works in my schedule I'll show up :)

Barring any drunken shennanigans, Ivan and his buddy will be picking up my two spare bikes on Friday afternoon. So they should have the bikes Saturday morning. And I'm happy to ride down there and chauffer them to whichever meeting point we choose. I think they'd love Mines [clap]
Re: Who's around turkey weekend?

Okay, Mines it is. Would someone please take over at this point and pick a meet point and route? I don't know Mines or the EB much. I can pick time: meet 10:30am.

That's great desmoquattro, you chauffer Ivan and buddy, who is going to chauffer me ::) I guess I will have to cross that bridge all by myself or chauffer with you :p
