Which windscreen is the best

I want a windscreen for my 620d for longer road trips. Which one do you guys recommend? Should i just find an aftermarket one or should I go with one off an S4?

When I was test riding various monsters one of them had a stock windscreen and I found it flapped around a bunch at speed which seemed kind of distracting.

One screen I like the looks of is the Dart (http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/sled/) and it has a good review by Zina Kelley (http://www.ducatigirl.com/inventory/pogo.html). Haven't tried it personally though.

Let us know what you end up with and how you like it.

I had one from DP that was pretty nice - it's the tallest version - at present it is off the bike since i'm running dual lights on the front.

I have the "double bubble" windscreen coming from National Cycle, I thought it would already be here, so I'm expecting it MOn. or Tues. I'll let you know how it works. looks to be about the same size as the Dart, but a little more sportier looking.

yeah I like the way the dart one looks too, especially because it's cheap. I want to know if it does a good job at redirecting the wind though. All the testimonials on their website just say that it looks nice and fits well

I wondered about that too, although Zina Kelley seems to like hers. I was skeptical a bitty fairing could make any difference, but I just got back from a 2 week, 3600 km tour of New Zealand on a little BMW 650GS. It has a high-ish instrument cluster and a little flyscreen similar to the Dart in shape, and I have to say it does take the brunt of the pressure off. Now, nobody is going to mistake it for a full fairing, but for a little thing its effect was much greater than its size would suggest.

I've got a RoadRacing (http://www.roadracing.it) wind fairing and I like it a lot. Very good wind deflection, very sturdy too. Not like the stock screens on later Monsters, which flap around at high speed. The RoadRacing wind screen is made from aluminum so more sturdy. I've been told that the flyscreens on monsters just divert the wind up under the front of your helmet and keep the bugs off your dials. Is this true?

I just put on my new windscreen from Natioal Cycle!! I like it haven't had a chance to test it at high speed yet.I guess I'll get to see if it really does divert the wind up under your helmet(ugh!). I have pictures coming to post, My daughter had a photo shoot with me and my toys, but my computer wouldn't recognize her camera, so shes sendind them to me and then I'll post them.

The stock screen on the S4 doesn't help much and it flops around a lot. It does take the wind off your chest. It might be better with clipons.

I have posted a question in Accessories and Mods about making upper brackets to stiffen it.

I have found the stock screen to be fairly effective actually, It does flop around but I dont spend much time looking down there anyway.

I havent really noticed it pushing my helmet up, but this probably depends on a bunch of variables (helmet type, rider height etc...)

Hi. New here.
I have followed the forum for a couple of weeks and now have actually something to contribute.
I have purchased a Dart Windscreen recently and have to say that it does actually work. I do not really like the look of the ducati fairings, but I spend quite a bit of time on the freeways, which here in SD move at about 80-85, so I bought it for function with minimum impact to the naked look. To further that goal I also painted the brackets flat black.
I was actually suprised on how much wind pressure it takes off the chest and even the helmet if you crouch a bit more (I guess it is important to metion that I am 5'8''). I think the reason it works more effectively than it's small size suggests is the obtuse mounting angle.
So I guess I would recommend it.

My ha'peth worth... The Dart Flyscreen (http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/sled/) is a mini masterpiece.

I bought mine six months after the buying the bike, and actually met Steve - the designer - in London when he was looking to tweak the design to fit the latest model bikes. I can't imagine a more carefully considered and designed product.

Fitting took about three minutes, it slots flawlessly into the clean lines of the bike - unlike the Ducati model which I think spoils the simplicity of the front - and it really makes a difference. I fitted mine just before setting off on a five day, 2000 mile jaunt round France, with friends on a CBR600 and an SV650, both fully faired. Suffice to say we were all astonished by just what a difference the tiny screen made. General riding is smoother without the chest wind, and at motorway speeds you can actually 'tuck in' behind the little fellow and feel almost no wind at all. Amazing.

I can't recommend it highly enough, and at the price they're a steal.

Well, on the strength of that recommendation I went and ordered one. Now it is just a matter of waiting for it to get here from the UK <sound of fingers drumming on table>

Anybody interested in one like this:?

martin from motowheels was asking me if i thought people would be interested in these.
its made of plastic so its pretty cheap.
whaddya think?
