The shop I've heard the most good things about is Oceanside.
Unfortunately, they seem to have a perpetual 2 week wait, or more. But that does mean that their services are in demand. The wait may have changed, I don't have a lot of data points. No FHE on getting work done there either.
And for most of us, they're not exactly right around the corner...
Spaceman-
Just recently got my bike there, and last week had my scheduled maintenance done. So I've been visiting often in a short time span. I'm going to swing by next week maybe to check out some gear.
Depending on where you live and if it's non-warranty work - Evoluzione in Simi Valley is great! They do all my service and performance work. Also, Beverly Hills Ducati is very good.
Pro Italia - NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, they are the worst. Oh the horror stories I've heard...big shudder!!
Mor BH Ducati info - Ian is good, and their head Mechanic, Aussie (sp?) has been around for years. Bad Rep comes from when previous owner was on board. New owners (JJ & Chrissy Sullivan) are great. Both have raced and know a lot about Ducati's. Chrissy has been riding ducs since she was very young, family is totally into Ducs. I bought my Monster from them and they have been fabulous to me. Very honest and dependable. They are great riders too!! Learning a lot from them. Also, they are just not owners, but enthusiasts too!
I also back BHD. Took my bike in a month or so ago when battery leaked. They cleaned it up and replaced the battery with no charge, under warranty, that afternoon. Still waiting to hear about warranty coverage on acid damage, but I was really happy to get back on the road so quickly.
Pro Italia - NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, they are the worst. Oh the horror stories I've heard...big shudder!!
Whadda mean CrestGal?????? Please tell me the stories since they have my factory service vouchers. I've heard different things about them..i.e. snobby, attitude, blah blah blah, but never horrible service.
Every bike of mine they have worked on came out with more problems than it went in with. They definitely have an arrogant attitude, think part of it was that I am of the female gender! Be sure to check everything when you get your bike back. They have a tendency to not tighten everything down. Perhaps we will meet on a ride someday and discuss further!! List is too long for a post! You may have better luck than I did, some folks do, but not many!
