I'm confused. I have an M1000. There's a hole on the engine just like the one in this image. Why is it there? The hole has grooves in it - as if it's supposed to hold a screw or a bolt.

It was funny though. Fellow member Robert_Bowman already made a thread with the same question along with a photo with red arrows - just like what I did!
