Go to a junk yard. Find a plug from a floor pan that is the same size or a bit larger. Make the hole fit the plug.

A junk yard? who has time for that?

I get a selection of plugs from my local Ace hardware. They still have a section with pull-out drawers full of all kinds of little goodies. Forget about Lowe's or Home Depot; you'll never find little piece parts like that there!

+1 on the local hardwarestore suggestion. Its always good to support a localy owned business plus I find that they have a much broader selection of odds and end type peices than any mega store. I found a plastic cap that actually snapped right into place although I did secure it with a beed of RVT as insurance.
