Does anyone know what size/pitch the oil pressure sensor is on a 900? I'm thinking about putting together a guage set up to check the pressure at each minor maintenance interval.

Would a mechanical oil pressure guage kit for imports likely have the correct size fitting in it?

Update: I found a list of Autometer metric adapters to fit their 1/8 NPT hose fitting to five different metric sizes.

Tomorrow I'll go out and pull the sensor and see what it really is.

No, but I'd love to find the hardware to place a tee in the sensor position with one of those little guages the size of a quarter on the side and the sensor on top. I don't feel the need for a guage at the dash, but being able to check the pressure periodically just by getting off the bike and looking at the guage would be cool. Actually with the guage on top of a tee, you could see it from the seat. Still need that idiot light for immediate warning though.

I just found a metric adapter kit at Auto Zone for $4.99. With that and a spare pressure guage from my parts bin, plus a 1/4 X 1/8 NPT reducer I've got my pressure tester for those 3,000 miles checkups. (Pool pump type guages are perfectly adequate for this type of occasional use contraption - and cheap too)
