It looks a little like the S4 Challenge Series tail. It was a VERY short lived race series back home in the UK. I saw a Monster at laguna seca with a similar rear when i was there for the WSB round a few weeks back, only with turn signals fitted too.

I think it's the DP "solo" seat cowl:

969136AAA fits '01 and earlier 600, 750, & 900.

I've got another question....any ideas to use that seat cowl with rear brake lights and turn signals?? It looks like it would completely cover up the rear brake lights and it's questionable whether it would cover the factory turn signals....I guess I would have to fabricate my own brake light/signal pod....

Do a search on this board for information about that tail. They show up on e-bay SOMETIMES. And I know there was one guy who fitted turn signals to his, and he had a brakelight as well. I think they look cool, but I'd want to see one in person, they MIGHT be kind of "big"
