I bought my bike used an I was looking over the paperwork I got with the bike. On the 600mile service there was an operation that was completed called "Bowden Cables"? It doesn't say what it is, it's just checked off as having been completed. I was just curious as to what this is and how it was done. Thanks for the enlightenment.

A bowden cable is a type of flexible cable used to transmit mechanical force or energy by the movement of an inner cable (most commonly of steel) relative to a hollow outer cable.
Throttle cable? Fast idler cable?

That's swell guys, but it doesn't answer the poster's question: what the hell did they do to his bike?

I don't know. Do you?

Since I have no way of knowing what the hell some unknown shop did to someone elses bike:I would assume on the 600 mile service they check cables and service them if needed.
