i tried on the high end models vs. the low end models... seems like the high end models (as i've posted before) fit much better -

- well, after trying my Vemar on for a while, the "S" is way too big. the guy i bought it from doesn't have a "XS" - he told me a "S" should fit - but i was not so sure. I sent it back.

in the market for another helmet again.

I ended up getting the KBC racer 1 from helmet harbor.
I ordered it on Sunday and it got here on wednesday... that was quick
as soon as i pulled it out of the box i loved it. fits great, just a little tight on the cheecks. The bike will arrive on Friday and i cant wait!!

I wear a Fulmer AFS7. The vents work pretty well. It's easy to change the visor from clear to tinted and back. I've had some minor fogging in cool weather, but cracking the visor open one click always cured it in about 15 secs, and getting up to speed eliminated it. I have a square head, and the fit is good after break-in. No pressure points. A little more wind noise than I like, but I can't really compare since it's the first FF I've worn since about 1975.

Arai Signet GTR (03 model) Forte Red... I LOVE THIS HELMET

The ventilation is amazing - no fogging, shield changes take a second and it fits my head like a glove. My only complaints are that (a) I like the graphics on the Arai Quantum and Corsair lines much better (i.e. I wish my noggin' were a bit rounder), and (b) it's noisy. I cured the latter issue with a pair of plugs from HearTech.

I have a Nolan X Lite that I bought from the helmet harbor. It is drak grey with red trim and matches my bike prefectly. I am very pleased with this helmet. The shell is an odd shape kinda conehead but I dont mind because the helmet is comfortable.

Arai Signet GT in RED!

Comfortable, venting is pretty good.
Decent quiet.

Shield R&R is pretty scary, I feel like I'm right on the edge of breaking something. I don't swap it regularly, I just took it off to apply a "brow strip" and was gritting my teeth getting it back on.

I just got my Arai Signet GTR in aluminum silver. Great helmet, but good luck finding a dealer with decent stock.
