Making another attempt to get a race event ride together.

The WERA Summer Cycle Jam (or something like that) is coming to VIRginia International Raceway on August 6th and 7th. It’s some really competitive amateur racing – and usually includes a few AMA regulars – plus, it’s only an hour & ½ ride from Raleigh.

We’ve already been up once this year for the CCS/ASRA event and I’d love to get a few riders together – Ducati and otherwise – for a group ride up to the track. It’s a fairly easy route, with some nice twisties once you get past Hillsborough.

If you’ve ever been to the AMA event at VIR, you know it’s a great track with a lot of really good sight lines. What’s even better with the amateur races is that there usually aren’t that many spectators there, so it’s easier to grab a good seat. The full concessions are open, and the food really isn’t too bad, but the best part is stopping at Aunt Millie's for a pizza on the way back.

If anyone’s interested, please tell all your riding buddies, and let me know. I have no problem facilitating the meeting point and schedule.

Looking forward to meeting some more riders for a great weekend of racing.
