I really like to ride during the week, less traffic in the canyons. It's usually a spur-of-the-moment type deal as I don't usually figure out my day's schedule until around 11am or so.

The wardens are letting us leave work at Noon on Wednesday. Riding up ACH to Newcombs for lunch. If anyone would like to join me, will meet at Shell Station 12:30 PM and leave at 12:35 PM!

Retro, I think that traffic will be brutal tomorrow to get up to the Crest. Also, not sure I will be available early enough. How about around Malibu?

And as for Friday Nick, what do you have in mind?

Not looking for a marathon ride, the last two weekends have been a pair of pretty intense 10 hour rides.

How about trying some of the stuff around Malibu that we haven't done on group rides? Maybe Retro's found some cool roads?

Here's my Malibu route:

From PCH up Las Flores. Right on Rambla Pacifico. Right on Shueren. Left on Stunt. Left on Mulholland to the Rock Store. From there to Latigo or straight down Encinal (super fast, tripple digit sweepers) to Decker (very tight, only done that twice so far).

A two-hour round trip from Venice. I should be available every day for the rest of this week. A buddy called me to go ride Friday, he usually does Lil' T. to Bouquet (the other way - he knows that road much better than I do) to Spunky Canyon to San Francisquito. The canyons spit us out at Magic Mountain, take the I-5 back. Maybe 3 hours round trip from Venice. Easily connects to Lake Hughes also...

Already have plans for Friday and unfortunately they don't include Malibu, but you all have fun! My last day of riding for a week so plan on riding a lot! Now they are sending me to lovely St. Louis, MO!! :'( Why this place always sends me to land of the straight road I'll never know!!! : Will be at Shell Station today at 12:30 PM, don't think the traffic will be to bad, everyone is headed out of town, hopefully. Quick lunch run!

Did the canyon route today, with Be.
Entered Mulholland at Leo Carillo...nice start off point....Piuma to Stunt,
liked Stunt, but think it would be better going up?
Anyways wish I coulda made ACH and hooked up with you guys, but we did have a nice ride, the tighter turns are getting better...but still slow.

well it's uh always easy for me to do the canyons and at pretty much anytime....but I am up for elsewhere also....
If anyone want's to do the Canyon's, Starbucks on PCH at Malibu Mart is a good place to meet? 9:00?
Seems like a lot of beautiful women buy their coffee there, the chairs outside are comfy, and in the right location for viewing, and there is a gas station right there too.
