Hey -

I was going through my papers last night, and I happened to notice that I don't have any warranty paperwork of any kind - no card, no book 'o' legalese, nothing like that.

Did anyone else buy new and actually receive paperwork of some kind with their new motorcycle?

On a related note, is it usually pretty easy to get warranty work done at a dealer other than the one where your cycle was purchased? I'm moving far away, you see...

Thanks :)

Ever get a warranty registration card with a new car? The VIN # is all that's needed. Those cards that you get with the puchase of most consumer products serve no purpose other than marketing research and bolstering the paper pulp economy.

I bought my bike new in July and have yet to receive my warranty card. The dealer said to contact Ducati NA but that warranty work would be covered without the card regardless. I did finally receive my vouchers after 3 months so I must be in the "system" somewhere.

you should receive a copy of the Ducati NA warranty explanation...it's only one page and on the back it has info about emissions... If you are not familiar with this form, look thru your paperwork and read it if you do have it.. if not, just ask your dealer for a copy. It could answer MANY questions posted here IMO..
The "Warranty Card" FWIW is the top left corner of your copy of the greenish warranty registration form that your dealer would have to have you sign... second page is customer copy.. again call you dealer and at least get a copy. It shows your name, date of purchase, and the various bits that were checked over during the assembly and pre delivery set up of your bike. Not a super important paper to retain but you sure should have signed one and certainly deserve a copy of everything you signed ?!
