It's a trackday--sold out, I think--put on by 3Js (which is an org that does trackdays at Infineon for charity), followed by a dinner--not sold out--to benefit a disabled AMA racer who crashed at Sears. Here ya go: http://www.3jstrackdays.com/

I'm can't make it, Sara, but there's a chance that some other DMLers will hit the trackday, at least.

I'll be there trying to test out and not crash my new R6 racebike - half preped... Sharkskinz coming later this week.

Come by and say hi - blue 06r6, blue nissan frontier, black and grey shiny new leathers with "hoffman" on the back (have I mentioned to anybody how incredibly cool I think Helimot is???)

I can't make the dinner though.

cuz currently the new R6 looks like any other new blue r6. It's midway through the process of Desmoto making it a worthy race weapon for next year, but when that is done, it should be a fairly competitive machine. I just have to learn how to ride it ::) (it should make just about 10HP more than Tigre's bike - regardless of whatever that number might be) Bodywork is being painted, and will be installed next weekend. The new leathers look like my old ones without the very thorough scuffjob I gave it a while back. Oh, and they have my name on them ;D The old leathers are now available for rent at Helimot.

Is anyone else signed up for the Infineon date at the end of the month? Nov 27th.

I'm signed up, but I'm not sure of the status of my bike(s) or of my work schedule. I might have to trot out the r6 for kicks, if I don't get my B bike running by then.

Did I mention I'm dropping a 999R motor into the 749R chassis?

And, yes, I'm only buying the 749R to have more power than Adrian. Prior to him announcing that purchase, I was planning to continue on w/ the 749s (albeit in upgraded form).

I won't be riding Sears. but I'm gunning to get rehabbed enough to ride at Laguna in December.

In a separate threadjack, are you going to be attending any of the IMS shows this year? I think I'll be at the San Mateo show and at the Seattle show. I'll try to come by and say hello if you're there.

Tigre... it is and will remain... bone stock [laugh]

Desmoto is making it like Bobby Fong's bike. It will be tuned, timed, and energized. In otherwords, probably much more bike than I need, but power is always fun. They said it will easily make much more power than a used 749R ;)

I had a great time breaking it in today at Infineon (and yes, I kept the rubber side down...phew!). It hasn't had half the work done to it yet, and it is already a very quick and nimble machine. The only annoying thing was that 3j's ran the day with tthe AMA chicane in Turn 1 - me no likey!
