Hi,

I'm going to look at a 1997 m750 and i was wondering if the 1997 m750 monster has the same valve adj service interval as the m620? As far as maintenance cost goes are they about the same?

I might just wait for a good m620 to turn up if its drastically different.

Thanks!

The maintenance costs should be identical between the m620 and m750. Save service intervals, same basic engines, etc. The only bikes that get more expensive are the s4 and s4r because they are 4 valves per cylinder (versus 2 for the others) and they are water cooled.

The `97 M750 actually has a slighly different engine than other Monsters (clutch actuation is the big difference, as well as different engine covers, belt covers, etc...). The valve adjustments would be the same, but there may be some harder to find parts on the engine. Higgie would know more....

It wouldn't defer me from owning one, but it's something to consider.
