One of the issues with Corbin seats is that they don't offer any under-seat storage.

Has anyone looked into creating a whole seat pan to mount in place of the stock black plastic piece? Perhaps a shallow tray with some compartments would be pretty groovy... I have raised my rear ride height, so I'd be less likely to bottom it ut on the wheel, right?

Has anyone done this? Thoughts?

Grrr,

A mate of mine suggested to get 4, 5 or 6 balls of plasticene & roll them up & spread around under the seat, spray the underside of the seat with CRC/RP7 or the like (so it don't stick) then put the seat down, sit on it, take it off & see how much room is there.

I guess it makes sense, never done it though.

Maybe there's enough room to make a little capsule or something enough for a few criticial spanners, fuses, globes ect.......

Let us know if you try it?

On my 900 SS I removed the crankcase breather vent box. Between the frame rails I zip tied a small tupperware container, it fit perfect and gave me a waterproof storage area. I have Sargent seats on the monsters, so I haven't done that yet, but will.
