That looks like a very sweet bike... Now you're a tall guy so how is the comfort level on that one?

As much as I have been wanting to get into track days and such, my knees have been killing me lately. It's not bad if I'm just cruising, but if I'm "getting off" the bike I've been almost paralyzed in my knees with so much pain.

So I've been also thinking of a more "knee friendly" bike to add to my stable.

Also, when you going to play another show, I've been wanting to go for a while now, missed the last one...

I didn't like the look of the 1200GS so much at first, but it has definitely grown on me.

TCK:
- Yeah, it's much better on the knees. That's part of what was bugging me with the K12S. The tall factor was the deciding one for me. The Multi still felt a little small, but this one is perfect. Quite the stallion!

- Looks like I'll be playing at the Baltic in Point Richmond on Jan 4th. I'll post once it's confirmed. Thanks for asking [thumbsup]

It's an AWESOME touring bike, DanTheMan, and that's what I ultimately realized was most important to me now. And they're a blast in the turns too

Very nice, I am a big fan of the newest boxers, esp R12S..... short legs limit my choices,or I would be on the GS instanly So what dealer may now have a secondhand K12 on there floor ?

Marin BMW is the place for the secondhand K12S. It's the sport version: non-ABS, non-ESA - which makes it more affordable. Great bike. It just had it's 12k service and is really finding it's stride.

Yeah, I'm loving the boxer. I'm in LA right now; rode down on Friday to visit a friend who's here from North Carolina. This bike is awesome! I'm taking Monday off so I'll have time to enjoy the ride up Hwy 1 ;D (came down 101).

Alaska is definitely in my sights. Probably in '08. We'll have to recruit DuckDiggler as he's a GS man these days.

**** man, if you've got a KTM to throw into the mix by all means bring it! I've read that it is THE moto of choice up there. Wouldn't be any fun without different bikes to compare notes on now, would it?
