How many of y'all cats intersted in hitting the track this summer? I plan on doing so and of course it'll be my first. I'm up for the challenge. Who else?

In fact, I'm strongly considering <gasp> selling my Monster and buying a bike for the track. I know myself and fear that I'll mess up my pretty 996 once I start getting comfy on the track. I'd like to keep that bike intact. I'm thinking that if I tossed a GSX-R or an R1 away in a corner I wouldn't feel so bad. Still sorting this one out in my head though. ???

Speaking of tossing, I forgot about your accident Steve. I'm not gay but your face looks good :-\ :-\ :'( :-*.

I feel you on tossing the Ducati. Your bike is pretty clean. Why don't you get the monster set up as a track bike? Might be fun, plus you know you can get parts.

I wanna do it for sure. It would be my fist time to as well.

How does it work--will there be a ton of other riders on the track with us? Do you ever go one at a time?

I'd have to get pants--do they have to be leather?

I'd have to contact some track staff to find out the requirements. I heard you have to have a full suit or leathers though. Leathers required. Lemme find out some stuff this weekend. I'm exicted!

Jay, the object is to NOT fall off the bike! Break her open on the straight-a-ways!

I got this from the ducshop...

Ducshop is excited to announce their 2005 track day schedule. We have three events confirmed at Jennings GP, Barber Motorsports Park and Road Atlanta. Information can be found at www.ducshop.com/track_days.jsp or to sign up. For the events with SportbikeTrackTime you will need to register directly with them, which can be be done from our site. We also plan to include more informal events at the end of the season, which we will notify you of mid-year.

As always Ducshop will be in attendance to offer track-side assistance and plenty of hospitality. We will try our best to keep our group pitted together but if that becomes impossible please feel free to use our hospitality tents to relax and revive between sessions.

We would like to thank SportbikeTrackTime for allowing us the opportunity to sponsor two of their best Southern events and look forward to making them extra special for all who attend under the Ducshop banner.

We hope to see you there.
