A little help from some S4R owners. The owners manual states 2.1 bars front and 2.2 bars rear which on the web converts to 30 psi front and 31 psi rear. Is this correct or better yet what kind of pressures do you run. This seems a little low to me. I checked my pressures and they are front=35 and 41 rear. Does this sound right. Thanks for any help.

I run the 30/31 front/rear on my S4, seems to work fine. I weigh 170 fully geared up.

There's other folks here that likely have forgotten more about tires than I know now, maybe they'll weigh in.

IMHO, 35/41 is pretty high.

That range sounds OK, anywhere from 30-32 on the front & 32-34 on the rear. You'll want to lower the rear pressure on the track to around 28 (the tire guy will have appropriate pressure for that day). I'd add a couple of extra pounds for touring. The pressures you're running now are waaay too high.

I like 28-29 rear, and 29-30 front. I don't ride highways or commute, though. I don't get as much life out of my tires, but they grip really well...

41psi is dangerously high, in terms of impaired traction. Follow the manual!
