How may miles can I get out of a Pirelli Dragon Evo tires (stock on '03 800)?

Whta is the maximum width that can be placed on the rear rim without sacrifice?

What type of sport tires are suggested for street that are good for everyday usage and are good in rainy, slick conditions (whenever I get caught)?

s2travis,

to switch from 4.5" to 5.5" rims, are there any other modifications that need to be made? are the swingarm and hugger from the 800 compatible with the larger rim (maybe these are the same as the 1000 and s4?)...

also what rim did you get?

5K miles on a set of Michelin Macadams, plenty of traction, no chicken strips on the rear, 1 inch strips on the front....probably have another 1,500 miles worth of life on them....starting to get a slightly flattened center which is changing the turn-in effort..... Very pleased with the characteristics otherwise.......thinking of Pilots as my next set
