I believe it's for a ship, I saw it a long time ago. We have smaller yet equally impressive ones at work that only produce 6,000hp! But there's 9 of them!

I count 9cyl (or 10 even, possibly one more on the end) but their own literature says 8

the injectors gotta be like fire hose nossles

The photo with the sleeves in place shows 10 cyls in a funky 6+4 arrangement on the crank... crankshaft shot also shows 10.

Dayum. Are there different motors shown? The "complete" photo at top looks more like a 12 cyl...

I think it's all the same engine. They are all labeled as the rt96. Not sure though.

....uuhhhmm...that calls for a crane when you drop the valve

....sorry guys, don't have much of the details. just got an e-mail with pics. of that marine engine. and i think it said it revs like 20-30 rpm and was brought up to max. hp in excess of 102,000 hp . although normal operating output is like 70,000 hp ONLY ;D
i'm glad you like it and you don't think about converting your monster powertrain [laugh]
