As I was stopped at a red light on my way to work today a car pulls up beside me and and the driver says " Thats a really beautiful bike", I smile from ear to ear and shake my head up and down, saying "yes, she is!!" And then he says , " does it handle like they say it does?" And again , I grin and say "yes, she does!" And what amazed me, was, the man and women in the car was my age or older!! I felt really good that all groups of people think the Monster is a beautiful bike!!! I rode on to work with my chest filled with LOVE and PRIDE for my BEAUTIFUL little Monster!!!! ;D

Nice. 8) I love that about riding a Monster; it's amazing how many people are drawn to it. Whether it's a baby in it's mother's arms pointing and saying "goo goo," old men admiring its design, young guys asking how fast I've gone on it, or pretty women saying "nice bike" (my personal favorite ;)), I'm constantly connecting with people around the bike. Leaves me with a smile too. ;D

I know what you mean! I rode up to Spaceport Suzuki in Titusville today to look at their bar ends. One of the young sales guys that recognizes me from my frequent stops in there for accessories and stuff was on his way out to lunch or somewhere. He saw the Monster, stopped short to look it over, and immediately started a conversation over it. Then another old head about my age ot older rolled in on a metric cruiser and he joined in. We were kicking around a lot of different topics, but it always came back to how good the Monster looks and how well Ducs are known for their handling.

I told them that's what made me buy it - I stumbled across it and had to have it.

Gotta love them!!! ;)

I get a smile and a giggle as well when someone pulls up at a traffic light and just stares at the Monster, sometimes they will pay a complement....sometimes they just stare.... and their faces....say...it...all

we ARE the lucky ones :)

Monsters a re unique bike right off the bat. So many people opt for bikes that everyone else has, or the mag's recommend them. A monster owner chooses a monster 'cause of their personal desires. Ducati Monsters have attitude and expression of the owners' individuality, and from all the flicks I've seen on their monsters, it suits them. When was the last time you've seen a Harley owner who had their own individual expression? I told this cat I met (who owns a Harley) that he shoudl get a Ducati (just because I hate him, not Harley's and I wanted to challenge him). He said "Naw, 'cause if you get a Ducati you have to buy the jacket, the matching helmet, gloves and boots. With my Harley I just ride with a T-shirt and sunglasses." He not only showed that he was a follower, but he fits my aimed subject. Naked is how we were born; the additions to our nakedness are our personalities.

I just picked up my bike form the powdercoaters shop and DAMN its so sweet! I was just on the interstate and people were flagging me down to ask what kind of bike it was.
I know that there was a post a while ago about different ducatisti having feelings of superiority over the monster (especially the 620 which i own as well as a st2) but it just goes to show you that all of our bikes are unique and awesome in there own right. Plus, only true motorcycle aficionados can really tell the difference between any of the bikes and there arent many of those types of fellas down here in ol' New Orleans... Ride....and ride hard.

I am on my bike all day driving from client to client. I can honestly say that I get AT LEAST one comment like that everyday! Surprisingly, it is about equal between males and females.

I am so bad because I have to stare at myself everytime I see a reflection just to see how cool I look on the bike. ;) *LOL*

The only thing that could be better than having a Monster in Phoenix would be BEING SINGLE and having a Monster in Phoenix!! ;D

I don't want to start a whole big baloo, but my Harley has personality, and it reeks of my own individual expression, my bike could not be stolen cause it it "sooooo me" that anyone else on it would look so out of place the cops would stop them right away ( at least thats my opinion!!) ;D ;D ;D

So Deb, you refer to your Monster as a "she"? Interesting.
My Monster is a she( the little girl)
My HD Badboy is a she ( the big girl)
Our HD Sporty is a he ( the wildman)
And my husbands

I was pretty happy today, when I rode the DUC into Ducati Marin everyone was totally impressed with how beautiful she was, and clean. When I told them her age, mouths dropped! It is all in the powerwasher and the front and rear pitbull stands, makes cleaning easy ;)
