I'm looking to add some low mount carbon slip-ons to my Monster 750. I'm doing this for looks and to get that nice grizzly sound (not racing). I've been reading reviews and have come to realize Termignoni is the sh*t as far as slip-ons go. However they come with a nice $1000 price tag. I found some Ferracci's for around $650. So, my question is, is there a big difference between the two and if so is it worth the extra $350.

Any other advice and or recommedations is definitely welcome. I'm a mod rookie. :p

Thanks!

Termis are very nice, but there is every little difference in slip-ons as far as performance.

Sil Motor makes the Ferracci exhaust systems. If you don't want to pay extra for the FBF sticker, we sell the Sil Motor for $599 in carbon fiber . Sign up as a DML member to get it for $559.

I've never seen anything that made Termi's worth the extra dough, other than bragging rights. Ferracci's are just Sils with a FBF sticker...

Personnally, I think Arrows are better quality than either.

I have also heard lots of good things about the arrows and am thinking of getting those. The only downside is I think they are too long. The don't look as good with a chopped tail as the sil hi mounts.

I would get the arrows if I was going with low mounts though. I haver heard neither in person though.

I have a carbed 01 M750 with leo vinci ti lows. Let me start by saying that the difference between carbed and fuel injected ducs makes a difference. I go riding with a friend of mine who has a 00 injected 900 with termi's and they sound awesome. Another guy I go with has staintune lows and they are a bit raspier but sound good as well. The termi's are very deep and burble at idle nicely. Also I am very pleased with my leo vinci ti lows. They aren't as common and you won't have the bragging rights of termi's but, they are reasonable, and sound about the same as termi's, just not quite as deep and a bit quieter. I have also heard arrow carbons on a 900 and they sound AWESOME. I prefer a louder sound so maybe i'm biased, but the arrows are so deep, and just pound the ground.
Finally the guy I bought my leo's from upgraded to a full termi high mount for his s4 and said he really couldn't notice much difference in power or sound between the two. If it were my money I'd go for arrows, sil moto's, or leo vinci's. If you got the cash then go ahead and go for some termi's but basically, if you own a ducati you can't go wrong with the sound you let out with open pipes;).

Thanks for the good responses. One last question since I'm a newbie...after throwing on a pair of carbon slip-ons, does anything need to be adjusted on the bike to accomodate for the increased air flow?

HI nylobo,

It probably depends on whether your bike is carbed or injected. Mine is an 03 M800 (injected) and I still have the stock air-box, which has not been modified. I suggest installing your new slip-ons, run the bike for a bit and monitor for negative/positive changes and address them accordingly. Although, some of the more experienced people may have different/better approaches.

I think my bike runs much better since I installed the after market slip-ons. I had some weird popping through the air-box, which seems to have stopped since I installed the new slip-ons.

I plan to open my air-box in the near future, but I haven
