So I was out for a ride today, and noticed that my temp gauge was reading wierd. It would jump around from 14_ to 18_ to 21_ to 14_ and all around. Some places in there it would read "---"

WTF is going on? Where is the temp sensor so I can check my wiring?

Check the wire on your temp sensor. The --- is an indication of no signal. If your wireing is good, you may be having a problem with the thermister (SP?). I'm assuming an air cooled bike?

You will see the wire down by the oil sight glass, single wire under a rubber boot, The thermister is the small hex head thing the wire plugs into.
