OK, I too have the dreaded tank dent. It's minor but it really bugs me, and I'm too cheap to spend $500 on repairs (too many other more entertaining duc things to spend it on).

The Carbon Dream catalog lists cf side tank covers (#DU-181-C). Anyone seen them, used them, or sells them? Do they cover the area of the dent and all the logo? Do they work on the '00 tank?

Best,
Bob

If you need a tank bank anyway -get a bagster tank bag. It is a leather jammie that stays wrapped on your tank and then you clip the tank bag to it. Protects that tank and hides the dent. Wouldn't say it is my cup o tea - but it may suit your fancy.

A dent repair and respray should be closer to $300 than $500

truly helpful replies, yet not quite what i'm looking for :p

0 < $500 @ carbon dream - probably so

bagster - no jammies thanks

bullet wound sticker - i didn't shoot the f*#@ing thing

$300-500 to fix - yeah, i was probably talking to the wrong guy - should have said 73 suzuki instead of ducati

ducatimonster.org sticker - unless it's inflatable it won't fill the dent

thanks anyway, and keep trying!

you da' man, jeff h!

so $339.26 for a couple small pieces of cf. that's pricey even for carbon dream, japan, ducati, et al.

not gonna happen, maybe i'll just try a big band-aid

thanks all

How about a very attractive young model? It will only work while you are standing still, but will look good for photos. You might also find other uses for said model. Please post the photos in the Ducati babe thread...
