I was riding last night and found out that my rear light wasnt on while riding. The brake light works, but regular light doesnt. I left it at a friends house overnight because i didnt want to ride in the dark like that.... so i cant go look. Is there a seperate bulb for the running light? Could it just be a loose wire or fuse? I have seen this on 3 other peoples bikes... is it a common problem?

the bulb has 2 filiments.
you might try bending in the contacts a little so it makes a better contact.
but this is a common problem, bulbs blow due to vibration (sometimes worse on tail chopped bikes)
the replacement is 1157 or 1157LL
might as well get a couple, theyre cheap

What's the 1157LL? Don't think I've ever seen that.

Indeed. They are supposed to have a "heavy duty" filament just like a "rough service" bulb.

Had that same problem with mine, kept killing bulbs. Then finally went with the LED integrator from clear alternatives. Not bad for 50 bucks.
