Has any one here done the tail rear frame conversion from the 14-16 Monster to the newer 17-20?

I ordered everything for the conversion, as soon as everything comes in I’ll post pictures of everything.

So everything is removed and waiting for parts to arrive later today.
Pictured is 2 piles. One pile that needs to be replaced and one pile of everything that is kept.

So the rear sets went on ideal. No issues just like they were meant to be there. Still waiting on the rear subframe to come in the mail.
Only bolts needed so far are bolts in picture to attach the rear subframe to rear sets and 2 shorter bolts for the rear break.

So the tail-rear frame came in today. Installed it with out any issues. No problems installing it. I have the integrated tail light so I didn’t have to worry about blinkers. Here are some pics.

Nice. Is that a competition werkes tail light?

Why did you decide to do this and where did you source the parts?

It is a competition werks tail light. (Ducati Omaha- 85$!!!!) they might still have it..
all parts were sourced from eBay, everything with shipping included came out to be just around 400$

I wanted the cleaner look of the rear sets. - not to include those stupid passenger pegs... The seat is much thinner as well at the tail end, plus looks more updated.

Thanks, you just saved me some money, I was about to pay full price for the tail light. What do you think of it, is it brighter than stock?

That's not bad, I thought the conversion would cost alot more. I'd consider it at that price and it's still cheaper than aftermarket rearsets.

Yeah defiantly cheaper then 800$ aftermarket rear sets.
The tail light is super nice. Comes with pins attached to the wires. Have to take off the plastics connector from the oem turn signals and put the pins in.

Just saw the pics, Looks great. I need to take a look at my bike and see if I could use the 2015 subframe and do the same thing

Yes I did. They are a little different then the other once. The 1200R has a different rear subframe. I had to add a 10mm spacer on one side and a 5 mm spacer on the other side in order to make a good connection.
