Sydneians - to the Ducati rescue!!!

My fellow Ducati owners,

A while ago Ron hinted that Flywheels has a big secret. Well I squeezed it out of him and now he needs our help.
His business is at the point of expansion and he has been approached by Ducati to become an official dealer. Obviously he is excited about it, but there is something holding back the process.
The General manager is still trying to find data to support the fact that there is enough of a market for Ducati owners & future Ducati owners in the Southern & Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
This is completely preposterous as these are the most affluent areas in the Sydney district.

Anyhow, I propose we all take the time to send Ducati an e-mail saying (in your own words) that Flywheels is the perfect place for a Ducati retailer.
I'm sure Ron would appreciate our efforts with this. And it can only benefit us in the long run anyway.

So go to www.nfimporters.com.au click on "contacts", and hit the General Manager Warren Lee's e-mail icon.

It would be good to see one of our own go to the next level.
Everyone should jump aboard. Make it hard for Ducati to say "no".

I personally think it would be great to have a Ducati shop just around the corner, especially if it's run by someone as approachable as Ron.
This is our chance to make our presence felt and enhance the Ducati community.

Let's make it happen! [thumbsup]

Cheers
Melvin

Excellent!!

I certainly think that another dealer is warranted, especially one who has the right customer focus. Ron certainly fits this description and I would gladly help support him to support us!

One question, should any comments be flywheels specific, or simply more general stating that another customer focussed dealer would certainly be a good thing.
I cannot endorse something like that unless I have had some direct dealings with the dealer/owner so as much as I would like to say 'yes' I feel it must be left up to the people that have had dealings with Ron and his business directly (gotta get down there and see whats going on).
What is wrong with having another shop like Gowanloch's that caters for a broader customer base?

Mmick
oh thats just lovely, that is.... :p
rub in the fact that we are limited to only 2 quite questionable Ducati dealers here in Perth. :(
With WA's economy going gang-busters here at the moment, we have the greatest rate of vehicle ownership in Australia. And that is in particular to upper end vehicles and includes motorcycles.

So Ron, when you have successfully established your new dealership there in Sydney, come on over to Perth. It is ripe for the pickings.

ps. on a side note.... I've been told that Harley Davidson Corportation have bought back the dealership rights in Australia, from Frasers.
Will Frasers continue to sell only Ducatis and Honda then?

Well the Wollongong Frasers has just dropped Yamaha and have stuck the Ducatis in a small corner and primarily made the shop look like it sells only Harleys. :(

I am very disapointed that Frasers have shunned the Ducatis down here in the gong. :'(

very good point.
money talks, bullshit walks. [cheeky]
At this stage,
all I've got to convince NFI is the "bullshit" part.

But seriously, Northside - north, Frasers - west, but East? South?

I reckon there is a serious need for new Ducati's in Alexandria.

And don't worry folks. I vow not to fall into the Frasers trap. My shop started as a workshop and it will still be primarily a workshop, just doing this on the side. One reason I'm doing this is to bring more business in for the workshop.

And if you don't believe me, the workshop will stay where it is at the shop front and the showroom will be in the warehouse in the back. Just for something different.

More good news!!! After months of grovelling and begging for another mechanic, I finally found one. Starting next year. Don't need to say too much yet, only that he is the only mechanic I would stake my reputation on. ;)
