I have resurected my M900 from the dead (I didn't kill it, but I'd like to meet the moron that did, and am busy trying to sort out all the little parts. It came with an extra slave cylinder, which appears to be a newer style Ducati part. I heard that they changed the slave and the push rod a few years ago, and that it was an improvement. For sure the design is better as it shields the piston and internal parts completely.

I want to know what year/model push rod I need to get to make this slave work. This is a poor mans bike, so I'm trying to do it cheap. Anyone got the right part for me?

Thanks, Matt in SF

Oh yeah, the bike is a 2000 carbed model, started life as a 750 and got a donor motor at some point.

The newer slave is silver, and has a star shaped indent/cap on the outside.

make sure that the slave has a hole in the bottom. so you dont get a hydro lock if the pushrod starts to leak. Ducati recalled the eary slaves.
