Sunday.... Mostly sunny, high 56. Anybody gonna ride?

I know it's not time again for my annual group ride, but I'm gettin' the itch to ride with other ducs.

I probably am game, just got me some pilot powers that I need to wear the tits off of.

I have been giving some thought to it. Just not sure which roads are going to be clean.

Any suggestions?

My rides lately have been short and local. Bear Creek Canyon is pretty clean, but kinda short. We could do laps on it! [laugh]
285 is clean all the way to Park County, but BORING and full of speed traps.
The roads up through Nederland and Ward were just starting to get dirty when I last rode them - about a month ago.
36 to Estes and Big Thompson canyon back might be clean as they are well traveled.
How is the road to Deckers? I see some folks rode down there recently.

I honestly think that riding in the fall/winter in CO is totally do-able, but you have to be ok with dressing warm and riding more conservatively. And taking breaks to warm your hands with pizza and coffee.

I took a short ride today. Bear creek to Turkey creek, to 285. Not a spec of sand on either animals. Saddle Up!

All you need to do now is post a meeting place and time.

The Kohl's on C-470 and Wadsworth (?) sounds good to me. Easy access to the animals from there and easy for the southerners.

9:00 Early enough to avoid traffic and late enough for it to warm up a little.

Now, route? And ride leader?

We are meeting at Moe's, 550 Grant St at 10:00 am. Some pansy-ass-pink-bike-riding people said it would be too cold to meet at 9:00.

For those who do not want to meet in Denver, we will be making a gas stop at 11:00, Conoco, Morrison Rd & C-470.

The later start time, I hope, will allow folks from Greeley, Loveland and The Springs to join us.

I needed to get home early so that I can finish working on my Toyota. A bolt broke, so I drilled a hole in it and put an extractor in and broke the extractor and now I have to find a way to extract the extractor and I want to get it done before dark. (takes breath)
