I'm sure there are plenty of these post but I had to add one more. I bought a corbin seat and wasn't real happy with the position. Tried a sargent and felt the same. So I visited an apholsterer (thier shop is just under my office) and asked them to shave down the seat. I like the feel of the seat I just couldn't stand that sliding foward slope.

They took the cover off and used an orbital sander to take down the back end. I tried the seat with out the cover and it feels great so far. I'll post more photos when complete and after a good long ride.

Got the seat back the other day. Wow what a difference! I just put 90 miles on the seat and I have yet to mash the twig and berries.

I'll post some pics soon.

Awesome, I was thinking about doing this one myself. Good to hear it's an improvement!

Did you put anything in place of the missing foam like a gel pad or something? I would think that just removing the foam would give you a harder seat as you get closer to the plastic of the pan, no? Should I maybe just stop thinkin'?

I was going to put a gel pad in. I was worried about the gel getting too hot from the sun. But after they shaved the backend down, there was still a lot of foam left, so no gel. I only had them shave about 3/4" from the back end of the seat.

Of the seat, right? Please, no pics of the "twigs and berries."
