Stiff clutch?

I was noticing today that my clutch lever seems awfully stiff. My forearms are not weak by any means, but the clutch became quite the bear during rush hour. Any ideas?

I ride in very thick traffic in and around San Francisco all the time and yes, the clutch lever is quite stiff.
