Speedy Moto belt covers

I've been thinking about purchasing a set of Speedy Moto belt covers for my S2R and wanted to know just how much of an issue it is riding with the belts exposed. Is there any extra care that needs to be taken to avoid excess dirt / dust build up?

For reference, here are the covers I am talking about http://www.motostrano-store.com/spmodubeco.html

motogpfan has them on his naked multi.
Ok, I'll ask him. Thanks.
Good luck finding a set. They have been on back order for some time now.
I just talked to the folks at Motostrano and the reason they are on back order is Speedy Moto is in the process of moving their production facility and there is no concrete date as to when the new facility will be up and running again. Sucks for people like me.
Those are cool! Not sure I personally would spend that much $ when I could run belts completely open for free, but they still look really neat. [thumbsup]
screw the belt covers.....i want some new rollers....guess any for the 1000ds engine will fit but the stock ones look as bad....maybe worse than the pressure plate, which i painted.....don't know if i wanna do that for the rollers though....well maybe. anyone have any thoughts on that. how tough are they to get on and off and stuff?

all i can say is that it's coming... soon ;) and all the Speedy Moto fans will be pleased. the wait is a small price to pay for such great products [thumbsup]

They are working on them, I think the move slowed production.
Why won't the ones on the Motostrano website work for the S2R? The size and configuration looks as though they'll fit. What am I missing? Is the diameter off?

Also, why is the move to a new production facility taking sooooo long. They're just moving from Beaverton, OR to Portland, OR? It should be a quick and dirty move.
anyone know if you can take the color part off to powder coat them? i love the look of those.
They are anodized, so they could probably do them any color you want $$$

Dual Spark heads are different.
yup
I like them but that seems like a lot of $$ for not a lot of belt cover
