That would be the ultimate map. Anyone here fluent in web programming?
Building the map in Flash may also be possible.

I'm not a web developer, but I'll give it a shot.

I've actually thought about how to change the map, while I was at work not working.
What about this:
We have a large SoCal map and instead of putting the persons name and nickname we put something like a pushpin, dart, dot (anything small) backed with a Java app that when the cursor goes over the pushpin a small popup displays the person info.

Let me know if it sounds interesting.

A map with Java or html mouse over points will not work in YaBB.
